Auroras are relatively rare in the skies above Copenhagen due to its geographic location and frequently cloudy, wet weather. However, on January 19, 2026, a powerful solar storm created a spectacular display that could be enjoyed across the city.

Inspired by the aurora curtain shimmering over Amager Strand in Copenhagen, this stoneware cup captures a rare and luminous moment in the Danish sky.
